With the holidays coming up, it's easy to get swept into the stress of activity (or inactivity, depending on your situation). Whether you're still socially distancing or contending with family members who may or may not respect your boundaries, there are ways to ease tension. Trying to maintain the peace within can be challenging at times, but we have a few tips for you to help keep you grounded and merry.
Starting with an attitude of gratitude is always good advice, but maintaining constant positivity is not recommended. Allow yourself time to be with any unpleasant emotions and process them as they happen, if convenient. Sometimes we have times where we have to maintain appearances, so it is okay to persevere for the sake of that, but make sure you do take time during the day when you are alone to allow yourself time to process. Consider it cleansing and renewing, and make sure to do this regularly, even after the holidays.
Having a support system is often crucial, but if things are more distant or difficult these days, make sure your internal support system is maintained and spend time spiritually with your guides. Although they may not seem like they are physically present with us all the time, they are always watching over you and supporting you no matter what is going on in your life. Always remember that you are never alone.
Make time for meditation.
A great way to spend time with your guides and de-stress is during your daily meditation. No matter how you meditate, make sure to do it as often as you can during stressful times such as the holiday season. Not only does meditation help you clear your mind and cleanse your aura, but it also helps you maintain your body and peace of mind. Meditation is essential in helping us get clarity in difficult situations and can give us the answers we need to resolve conflict with others.
Plan your budget with stress levels in mind
During this time of year, you may need to be more mindful of your spending. When being frugal, make sure to include your health and wellbeing into the budget. There are some things you may be able to do without or do less of, but not when it comes to spending money on your wellness. Even if you have to use budget-friendly options, make sure to keep them in your spending. After all, you deserve to take care of yourself. Love yourself.
Be more selective in attending group activities.
There is often pressure for us to attend many parties and gatherings this time of year. We have come to a time in our lives and a day and age where we can be more selective. Of course, some people may be disappointed, but when it comes to your stress level, health, and wellbeing, make decisions that include your mental health and peace of mind. Sometimes it is good to stretch outside of your comfort zone, and sometimes it is best to maintain your sanity and wellbeing. Don't let others pressure you into attending to things that make you feel uncomfortable and unhappy, especially when you may regret it later.
Get shopping done early or alternative gift-giving
It's always a good idea to get any holiday shopping done early, so you don't have to be caught up in busy shoppers and high traffic areas. If you can purchase online or send gift cards instead, this can alleviate some of the stress you may be experiencing when it comes to gift-giving. Some people may appreciate cash instead of actual gifts during this time to help them purchase what they may want or need. Alternatively, suppose you are on a budget. In that case, you can always consider giving gifts in alternative ways, such as making gifts for people, which can also double as a stress-relieving activity.
Eat healthy, exercise, and practice energy healing.
Making sure you are eating the right kinds of food and exercising regularly will help you manage stress in your life and not just during the holiday season. Suppose the weather is not conducive to taking walks. In that case, you may consider watching some YouTube videos on practicing QiGong which is terrific for stress relief and helps maintain blood circulation throughout your body. Also, now may be a time to invest in learning how to do Reiki or work with a Reiki master to experience energy healing. Energy healing can help you immensely during times of great stress and can help you release all that is holding you back. Many psychics are skilled in energy healing and can help you recenter yourself to achieve the peace of mind you deserve.
