An Introduction to the Chakras, Part I : Insights from Psychic Willow

Hey! This is Psychic Willow at extension 1587 at MeetYourPsychic, and I have been a Reiki Master for over twenty years.

Before my training, I had heard of chakras, but like many people, I wasn't entirely sure what they were. I had no idea just how critical their role was in our health and our lives.

Being a teacher by profession, I am always excited when the opportunity to share knowledge presents itself, especially information that is so vital to our physical and spiritual well-being. The word chakra comes from Sanskrit, which literally means the "Wheels of Life." Chakras are the energy centers of the body, which are in constant motion, meaning that they spin.

There are one hundred fourteen chakras in our bodies, but there are seven main ones that run the length of the spine. These seven will be the focus of my future blog posts. The chakras are made up of "nadis" or "prana." These are vital energy channels. There are 72,000 of those! When the nadis meet at specific points in our body, they form a triangle. That triangle is known as a chakra.

All aspects of our health and our personal qualities are determined by the strength and health of our chakras. We are complex energy forms. The prana and the chakras make up your etheric body( your aura,) which is essentially your twin. It is representative of the energetic charge and vibration of your body as a living organism.

When our chakras are unbalanced, our etheric body becomes weak. This will manifest in the form of physical, mental, or emotional illness. Balanced chakras keep your etheric body healthy, which means you are healthier.

"If you wish to understand the Universe, think of energy, frequency and vibration." -Nikola Tesla.

My next post will cover the first of the seven chakras. Until then, "Do good, think well, and it will be well." ( Ethics of the Forefathers)
