Let's talk about Herbs and Candle Magic

There are certain herbs that are made for love. They bring out the best essence in what you want to achieve. One of my favorite herbs is:

BASIL-

Basil has been around for more than five thousand years and is used in cooking as a flavoring agent. It is commonly used world wide and is an important ingredient in most dishes. Basil originated in Asia and then in the Middle East. Basil is good for medicinal purposes such as controlling blood sugar and improving respiration and excellent for your circulatory system.

Sometimes people ask me why I look so young at 50. Well having an internal youthful attitude along with a fool's outlook on life and stresses that come my way, I can credit my youthful appearance by petting Basil in every soup dish (either Homemade or Can) every pasta dish and everyday dishes including adding fresh basil to my smoothies. Basil has antioxidants preventing aging and boosting your immune system and preventing infections. This would include winter colds and flu like systems. I got my first flu shot two years ago and opted not to have one since. I credit this ability to stay healthy to Basil. I don't care if you use it fresh or dried, just use it as much as you can in everything that can to soak up its positive attributes for your well being.

Basil and Candle Magick-

Italians are strong in traditionally using fresh herbs in most of their dishes and BASIL is extremely important to them. Particularly because BASIL IS THE HERB OF LOVE. Basil guarantees fidelity or can prove infidelity. Take some fresh Basil and place in a clear bowl as a decorated piece and replace as needed, this is too keep love in your home. Create a love bath. Boil Basil stove top and let it sit for a couple of days refrigerated and then add to the bath. This will help attract love to you especially if you do this just before a date or on a night out on the town with friends. I don't know about everyone else but, you will have the most suiters coming your way if your a girl and guys you will have the pick of the litter. Sorry I'm not politically correct. :) Happy Basil increases affection in your love life.

I like to take dried Basil and a plain Candle and carve my intentions into a candle preferable Pink or white. You can carve things like: a Heart, bring me my true love, keep my man faithful, God help me, protect my marriage, bring me an abundance to choose from. Bring me a Man with money, etc then I add an essential Basil oil ( you can get it from any organic supermarket) and I add a few drops of oil on the candle rubbing it in. Using a paper bag and spreading the Basil herb on the bag, I then roll the candle around the basil covering the candle with the herb. I place the candle on a stand in a bottle suited for candle magic (check any NewAge store for glass candle holders and matching candles) and I light it praying as I light the candle what I want my true intentions to be. If you wish to purchase a commercial candle already scented in a glass container, you can do so by sprinkling some Basil and adding drops of Basil oil staying away from the wick, lighting it and stating your intentions as well.

I just gave you some basic instruction on how to use Basil for medicinal purposes and magical use. There is so much more to candle magic but who cares about all that let's get started any way we can to clear the energy and bring positive love love love into our lives again.
