I write this to you from a mandated statewide Stay at Home status, except for essential tasks. This has been a blessing in disguise. Having time to write, be here for my family, get some necessary things done, and yes, at certain times, a little stir crazy. The gift of being with yourself, and having time to explore your feelings, goals, hopes, aspirations, and relationships, is priceless.
I have discovered in this time that I am pleased with me, that I love the direction I am going with my work, that my relationships are positive and reciprocal, I am content with my home life, feeling loved and cherished. This time that you have to yourself is time to gain perspective, take long hot soaks in the bath, and detoxing your body as you detox your mind. Put your life in front of you. What do you see? What are the areas you would like to improve? What is it that you have wanted to pursue in your life but have not had the courage? What is your truth? What feelings do you have about your career?
This is a time to take out your creativity and to explore your unconscious and subconscious self. Painting, drawing, dancing, cooking, anything that breaks the barrier keeping you from being real with yourself.
This is also a time to do any online study or coursework, expanding your skillset. Make this time count! Add to your career skill set and resume. The gift of time and being able to explore the unopened gifts in your life does not come to you all that often. Appreciate the quiet, solitude, and let yourself decompress. It is accessible in your day-to-day lives to become stress junkies.
You and I are so wired and dialed into crisis, that to let yourself just BE yourself may at first feel weird. During this time, permit yourself to be honest about your life. Journal and express your feelings. Taking time to see your progress with your goals, or to give new direction are traits of highly successful individuals. Don't be so locked in that you lose your ability to adapt and take advantage of every opportunity to grow your soul. When you are born into this life, you are here to expand your soul and to access the Wisdom that you have already gained.
As the world heals through Social Distancing and precautionary measures, take this gift, open it up, and discover who you are and where you are going. Thank you for this time together. It is my goal to reach out, inspire, encourage, and empower. I love you, and I believe in you.
