Afternoon Tea, the Beauty of Ritual: Insight by Psychic Shira
Bright Greetings,
Welcome to my new and returning readers. It is a joy to connect with you! Thank you for subscribing and sharing!
My afternoon tea ritual has been with me for many years.
My children, as adults, have also kept this as part of their day. It is a grounding routine that helps to reset my day and bring renewed energy.
Rituals throughout history have always held status. The process of embalming and preparation for the afterlife in Egypt, for example, the process of paying the last hommage to your loved one. It was not just for pharaohs! In Viking Cultures, the burden basket, placed outside the fields before harvest.
It was believed that if you carried negative feelings and energy into the crops, it would cause you to be ill if you consumed them and curse the bounty of your harvest—the ritual of engagement in East Indian Culture. The engagement party is to stop the state of being single and begin planning the wedding. At the engagement party, gifts are given from the groom's family to the newest person entering the family, the daughter-in-law. The ritual of breaking bread together on select calendar dates is present in every pantheon and era. Your life is filled with grounding moments.
From the first cup of tea or coffee in the morning to folding down the bedding before going to sleep, you have created a life filled with meaning. Many of your traditions are inherited from your familial patterning. Some rituals are not healthy and need to be deleted and replaced. For example, poor eating is often acquired through family, and overcoming them takes diligent work and intention.
Taking an assessment of how you fill your day and seeing what grounds you and what moves you forward is a valuable and valid reflection. Take the time to sit down and to look at your day from beginning to end.
Where are you stressed or your energy congested? What is serving your best interest? Where are you giving away your time? Where are your self-care rituals? Where is your time for connecting to supportive relationships? What has become more of an addiction than a healing practice? Do you have space for spontaneity? Are you well-rested or waking up as exhausted as you retired for the evening?
Spirit is asking you to look at the nuances and to be willing to upgrade! The new you is eager to emerge and to radiate your signature authenticity.
Keep what is serving your best and highest good, and leave the rest behind.
I love you, and I believe in you.
In Divine Truth and Love,
