Beating the Pandemic Holiday Blues: Insights from Psychic Shira

Spirit pressed upon me how lonely some of you are feeling and how you long for the person-to-person connection. I can feel your sense of discouragement, in fact, all over the globe.

You are not alone.

You are surrounded by love, strength, and support. Your Angels are working ceaselessly to ensure that you keep your vibration high. This is where your health and immunity remain vibrant.

States are locking day and limiting interactions for Thanksgiving, a time when you need that connection to family traditions. Despite the distance, it is essential to stay in touch with the love and positive interactions you have with those closest to you.

Cohorting is encouraged while hyrbriding is discouraged as our world works to overcome the pandemic. Cohorting is where you are with the same group and do not cross into groups outside your own. Hybriding is when you spend time with people from groups outside your own.

As part of my community training, I was required to attend virtual conferences on strategies to stay healthy and prevent the spread of Covid-19. While it may feel discouraging, there is a beneficial connection that you can create to stay connected with those you love.

Here are a few things my family is doing to stay connected:

Playing board games: Each family has the same board game, and make their moves and yours. You still get that sense of being together and share a good laugh or two.

Sending cards and small gifts: Sending little cards and gifts to show your love and support can offer tangible care. I have been mailing cards and gifts to my children, grand animals, and friends.

Talking on the phone at the same time every day: Every morning, my daughter and I share a cup of coffee and facetime. It is so wonderful to see her making her coffee and sitting down as if we were together. I look forward to our coffee time chats, talking about the day, and sharing a laugh or two. Good medicine!

For the meditators: If you meditate every day, visualize a shield of love around you and your loved ones. Build the bridge with intentional energy. You will feel the reciprocity if you consistently practice holding space for your relationships.

Things that you can do on your own: Listen to Binaural Beats of 1111 HZ or higher; You want to move your energy out of fear and survival into that of thriving and feeling strong emotions. Binaural Beats are two sounds or frequencies that are played simultaneously. Playing them together creates overtones, frequencies that are made by the inclusion of two sounds together. For instance, if you were to play the 1st and 5th note in a triad, you would hear the implied third an octave to two octaves higher. A unique microphone with two sides is necessary for the creation of this fantastic and healing sound.

Take a daily walk, stretch, or exercise: With most gyms and fitness centers have closed, find ways to exercise at home. There are countless youtube videos and online fitness/wellness coaches that will work with you via virtual sessions.

Breathe: The breath or Prana will help to relax you and alleviate stress and loneliness. Breathe in through your nose and hold for two counts, then exhale through your mouth like a long whoosh, and hold for two seconds. Do so 3 - 7 times when you feel stress accumulating in your body.

Stay away from the news: Being informed is essential for you, but limit your time with current events. Pick one time during the day that you read the latest insights. Stay away from any social media an hour before bedtime. As tempting as it is to post a comment, take a step back. Your nervous system needs to decompress rather than ramp up.

Take a hot bath or shower: Massaging your scalp is extremely relaxing. Incorporate this into your hydrotherapy. You can incorporate essential oils, dead sea salt, or do a sugar glow.

Make your well-being a priority. You and I are in this together; separateness is the illusion. The concept of Ichinen Sanzen or we are all connected, applies.
