Did 2020 Help You Realize Your Life Path?
Those of us who were forced to pause and slow down allowed us to slow down and look within ourselves. You may have had the opportunity to reflect on your past decisions and also time to reflect on what makes you happy and what doesn't.
If you were in the reflection group, your life path slowed you down for a reason. You needed to learn some hard lessons about yourself as an individual and, just as necessary, your role in the community you live in. You were given the opportunity to grow and transform yourself into a better and kind human being. These kinds of changes didn't have to be huge at first, but the small steps of realization and shifts will help you become a better person if you are willing to allow the wisdom to seep inside you.
Most of us took for granted the pace of living you were living at before 2020. We didn't have time to stop and think of all the things that created the machine we were living inside.
If you were on the other side of this and were forced to live at a faster pace, your lesson was learning how to stand up for yourself, and just as important, learning how to stand up for others and their wellbeing. It only takes one person to make a difference in a crowd of many.
Essential workers of all kinds have been asked to work at paces and work in inhumane conditions. Every day they see the consequences of people's actions played out for them at the cost of others' health and happiness.
It is clear that we have a lot of work to do on our collective shadow and our own individual shadow to rebuild our society. How has 2020 helped you realize your role in the New Year? If you haven't taken a moment to consider this question, it may be appropriate to do so now. Now is the time for significant change.
