Root Chakra Meditation
First, you will release energy that is racing through your body so that you may be in a real receptive state.
Jump around, shake your head, open and close your hands, swing your hips, shake your shoulders, shake your legs, move any part of your body that feels tight or constrained.
Now sit or lie in a comfortable position.
Through your nose, take a breath for seven seconds.
Hold for a count of seven.
Then release through your mouth for a count of seven.
Continue to breathe naturally in and out of your nose. If at any time during the meditation you begin to feel anxious or tense, focus on the area of the body where the tension is showing up and breathe in through your nose for a count of seven, hold for a count of seven, and exhale through your mouth for a count of seven.
Feel a red light of energy flowing down through the top of your head. Feel this energy wash over the top of your head. As the energy flows down your forehead, begin to feel your body become loose and limp, safe, and secure. Feel this energy run down your neck, your shoulders, as the tension and dark and unwanted energy begins to flow down your body and return to the Earth.
Feel this flow of red, powerful energy, wash away the tension in your back and chest. Feel your arms begin to feel lighter and more relaxed. As you continue to breathe deeply, allow the red energy to fill your lungs.
Feel this red energy washing over your hips, your thighs, and your calves. Breathe in and out. Know that you are safe and secure. Feel the relief as you continue breathing, allowing this energy to flow over your ankles and feet, and all energy that is not serving your highest good will flow out the bottom of your feet. There is no need to be concerned with this energy that is no longer wanted. Mother Earth will transmute this energy. She is powerful. She is strong. She has you wrapped in her arms.
Through your nose, take a breath for seven seconds.
Hold for a count of seven.
Then release through your mouth for a count of seven.
Remember, if at any time during the meditation, you begin to feel anxious or tense, focus on the area of the body where the tension is showing up, return to this breathing method.
Return to your nasal breathing. In and out. In and out. Safe and secure.
In your mind's eye picture, a rain cloud far in the distance. As the cloud begins to float towards you, you can feel the excitement, the refreshment, the healing energy that is on its way towards you. Take a deep breath in, hold, and release.
Remembering that you are safe and secure, you give yourself permission to receive all healing that the Universe has to offer.
As the raincloud floats right above your head, it begins to drop a mixture of warm and cool raindrops on your skin. You notice that these raindrops are the color of fresh strawberry juice. Feel the cool drops on your skin. Smell the sweetness of the rain as it washes over your body. See it, smell it, taste it. With each drop of red rain you can feel your Root Chakra opening up and releasing dark and unwanted energy.
As you feel this energy release, you celebrate letting go of past karmic ties, wounds, and energy that is no longer serving your highest good.
Place your left hand (receptive) palm up in front of you to receive the energy and your right hand (giver) on the base of your spine.
Repeat these words and allow your body to react. Choose to be in the space of non-judgment and just surrender to what is, at this moment. Let's do some reprogramming together.
In the past, I have been let down by those that I trusted. This taught me that people were not trustworthy.
In the past, I have struggled with basic needs. This taught me that I was not provided for.
In the past, our collective consciousness has fought amongst ourselves. This taught me that peace was not attainable.
In the past, I treated my body poorly through my food choices, inconsistent or too much exercise, and not providing my body enough rest or water. This taught me to live in a perpetual cycle of survival.
Today this changes!
I am trustworthy. I choose to attract into my life those that acknowledge my worth. If I do attract a person who is not trustworthy, I will recognize this fact and remove them from my energy. I identify trustworthy people.
I am cared for. The Universe watches over me. I have everything I want and need, and more are being sent to me.
Peace begins within. I choose to walk a path of inner peace. I choose to forgive myself for the missteps that I have taken. I choose to forgive others who have hurt me.
I choose to nurture my body with clean, healthy food choices. I move my body each day in celebration of life. I choose to provide my body with ample amounts of clean water.
At this moment, feel your root chakra begin to release dark and unwanted energy. With each breath, your new energetic space begins to take hold and fill your body. You are worthy. You are deserving. You are connected with Mother Earth. You are safe and secure. You can feel that you will begin to make choices that serve your highest good. You begin to feel your worthiness.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes. Shrug your shoulders. When you are ready, stand up and move your hips around.
Feel the healing that has occurred in your Root Chakra. Know that you are precious and cared for. Feel how you are connected to Mother Earth. She is always here for you.
