Affirmations 101 with Psychic Shidonii
Blessings! One of the things that I find myself working with on a VERY regular basis is affirmations.
These are the bread and butter of my life, spiritual and physical. I use them for all occasions and situations. The affirmations that I use have gotten me through the most intense crises.
When no other words or comfort would help, affirmations did. When it comes to affirmations, I have two hard and fast rules.
1. Positive words: The universe sees positive and negative. Words have energy and connotation. You want to use positive words always.
Examples of positive words would be: can / grateful / blessed / open / now / great / happy / healthy /abundance / are / is / am / love / loving / welcome / invite / complete / success-successful.
Words you want to avoid: Need / want / hope / wish / don't / can't / never
2. Present tense: Affirmations work like a programming language. It's instructional and basic. Negative words, concepts, and tense will affect how strong an affirmation can be. The present tense allows the affirmation to be in the NOW, even if it isn't currently happening. This allows the brain to be programmed to see it as not only a possibility but a reality. This is the core of manifestation. Present tense affirmations examples are: -I am safe. -We are abundant and loved. -I am grateful for all the blessings that find me. After the logistics of it, it comes down to customizing these authoritative statements of manifestation to your highest good.
Affirmations are so crucial to our daily wellbeing. They allow us to remove fear and let in the truth of a situation where fear has contorted reality. Anxiety and low vibrations change how we perceive. Affirmations allow us to get back on track and ground our energy out as well.
My favorite affirmation of all time is probably one of the most powerful I have found for myself. "Things turn out better than I can imagine." Anyone that I have had the blessing to connect to have heard this from me. This particular affirmation has helped me out of situations that were entirely overwhelming for me. I wrote it out on a piece of paper and kept it within eyesight. This is another way to use affirmations powerfully. Seeing them allows you to take in the affirmation, saying them will enable you to feel it.
The more you use affirmations, the more you will find that your day becomes more natural to navigate (even with day to day frustrations potentially happening), and you can go with the flow better than before. Affirmations allow us to connect to the source. We carry the source inside us. We have so much personal power that we have either forgotten to access or were never taught how to. Using these powerful words and statements put us in a place of manifesting the life that we want.
The best part about affirmations is that they are easy, free, and make you feel better. In a world where instant gratification is quite essential to many, affirmations are another method to get you to the positive end result, as well as personally healing yourself. I encourage anyone to try affirmations for a week. Pay attention to how you feel and how things are working. There may be some times where it seems they may not work, but keep in mind, affirmations are as powerful as the belief we put behind them. I hope this is a tool you find helpful.
