The Benefits of a Retrograde: Insights from Psychic Shira

Retrogrades get a bad rap.
Retrogrades are about looking back and reflecting on aspects of your past. Retrogrades invite you to look back on the elements of your life that need closure or see how you can more wisely proceed in your life. The Universal energy of slowing down and inviting you to do a life review is positive!
When you get a peer review at work or get your bi-yearly assessment with your direct supervisor to get that raise, the insights you gather are vital to your growth. During these first days of this retrograde, I had a dental issue, which I had been ignoring, but was forced to face. It turned out to be a simple matter, by the way!
My house phone decided to go belly up, but it had been on its last digits for 2 months. Again, a simple fix with my communication provider. These were things that I was simply not making time to address. Now they are done, and I feel a massive wave of relief, leaving me with the question, "why did I wait?"
Well, I had several illogical reasons:
1. I don't have the time.
2. It will be more than I imagined.
3. This can wait. It can't be that bad...right?
4. I am afraid this will lead to a deeper issue that I have to address.
Fear peeked in on me! Once I had debunked my heightened emotions, I felt empowered to face things as they arose rather than make excuses for waiting. You may have areas in your life where you need closure or where action needs to be taken.
It is time to step up and take action, look back at the things that you have failed to complete:
What have you learned about yourself in the past year?
Do you like what you see?
What is the wisdom that can be gained from this exercise?
Where did you shine?
What were the happiest moments of the past few months or years?
How have your values shifted?
How have you shown the people in your life that you love them?
Do you hang onto regret? Or do you let it go and do better when a similar circumstance arises?
Retrogrades are a gift from the universe, inviting us to reflect and evolve! Such endowments only come periodically, and I greet with gratitude. Will you? Continue to be the best version of yourself!
