The year gets off to an exciting start on the professional front, with Jupiter having just returned to your career sector on 29th December and the South Node returning to your work sector on 19th January. While Jupiter is only in your career sector until 11th May though will retrograde back in to tie up loose ends from 28th October to 21st December, once the South Node is in your work sector it will remain here until July 2024. While the South Node will mainly operate in the background and with its partner the South Node in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart will police a need to know when to keep your work hat on and when to take it off, the eclipses this will create could trigger major developments on the job front.

The first will be a total lunar eclipse on 16th May, with a solar eclipse six months later on 25th October. On its own, this might not be a game changer but with Jupiter spending so much time in your career sector, this contributes to making this a defining professional year. There to take advantage of this will be Mars, who instead of spending six weeks in your income sector will return on 20th August but won’t leave until March 2024. Mars will be here when Jupiter returns to your career sector on 28th October and for a total solar eclipse in your work sector on 25th October.

Meanwhile, when Jupiter leaves your career sector on 11th May it will be to return to your friendship sector for the first time in over a decade. In the same way that Jupiter will rush through your career sector instead of spending the straight 12 months that he normally would, he will return to your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking on 11th May but will retrograde back out on 28th October, returning on 21st December where he will then stay until May 2024. These will be massive months for personal and professional networking and where luck will be on your side when it comes to the people you connect with. The other major theme running through the year is Saturn, who will spend the whole of 2024 in your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery. After Jupiter left in the closing days of 2023, Saturn can police a balance between work and play in what is likely to be a busy year.

Starting the year with Jupiter and Neptune, the planets of luck and dreams in your career sector makes it clear that this will be no ordinary professional year but something that you are still adjusting to. After all, Jupiter only returned on 29th December 2023 and has been here for just a few days but in time to make this an opportunity for a fresh start. Jupiter had returned to your career sector in May 2023 but turned retrograde shortly after and retrograded back out two and a half months later. In that time Jupiter didn’t venture far but this left you with a sense of what’s possible and this gave Neptune time to nurture your professional dreams.

Neptune has been doing this since he returned in 2012 but when Jupiter promised that he would return by the end of the year, this gave this a purpose. As it is April when everything is set to come together on the career front there is time to get your bearings and that includes during the Sun’s month long visit from 19th February to 21st March and when Mercury moves through from 10th March to 27th March. The real magic begins when held back by a retrograde phase, Venus finally returns on 6th April and then on 15th April, when Mars returns for his first visit in nearly two years. This will bring the planets of luck, dreams, attraction and passion together just as Jupiter and Neptune align, for the first and only time here in our lifetime.

With Venus leaving on 3rd May, Jupiter on 11th May and Mars on 24th May, there will be a real push to make things happen, with April and May not only destined to be some of the best months of this year for career matters but of all time. Things might go quiet after that but Neptune will keep the momentum going until Jupiter returns in order to tie up loose ends from 28th October to 21st December. Meanwhile, there are also unexpected developments on the job front this year, with the South Node’s return to your work sector on 19th January setting the scene for a series of eclipses. The first is a total lunar eclipse on 16th May, just days after Jupiter’s departure from your career sector and a solar eclipse on 25th October. This is in the heart of this year’s planetary activity on the job front, which runs from 23rd October to 22nd November.

While there are still some leftovers from 2023, there will soon be a sense that this is a different year and in particular, on the relationship front. On 19th January the lunar nodes will shift for the first time since May 2024, with the South Node leaving Sagittarius and the North Node leaving your relationship sector. This will end a 20 month policing of a balance between your personal and relationship needs, the eclipses this has created during that time but also the pressure. Yet as they leave, this will leave you with a better sense of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you but in a way that will allow you to leave the past behind you.

Another leftover from 2023 is Mars, who returned to your romantic sector in the final weeks of last year and will continue to fuel your romantic passions and fighting spirit until leaving on 25th January. After that, with no planetary activity in either your romantic or relationship sectors until the second half of the year, it is up to the Moon and Venus to keep the momentum going on both fronts. While the Moon will visit your romantic and relationship every four weeks it is the Full Moon this will create in your romantic sector on 17th April and in your relationship sector on 14th June that will give both an important boost. It is just days after the Full Moon in your relationship sector that Venus will return to Gemini, moving through from 23rd June to 18th July.

The planet of love will return just as your birthday month ends but also just as you are about to move into the second half of the year, the half that hosts all the action on the romantic and relationship fronts. Planetary activity on the romantic front will run from Mercury’s return on 26th August to his departure on 30th October. Venus, the planet of love will move through from 29th September to 23rd October, making these some of the most romantically charged weeks of the year. The Sun, Mercury and Venus will all visit your relationship sector during the relatively short period from Venus’ return on 16th November to the Sun’s departure on 22nd December. This is the point in any year when the solar spotlight is on your relationships.

Because the Sun will always spend the last 10 days and the first three weeks of every year in your financial sector, the solar spotlight is always on your financial situation and money matters as you move into the New Year. While the Sun will leave on 20th January and this will take the spotlight off money matters, unlike other years this is not the end of the story. Even with Pluto, the planet of change and revolution in your financial sector from 2008 to 2024, the planetary activity on the financial front at the start of the year is beyond what you would normally expect. The year not only begins with Venus, the planet of money in your financial sector but in retrograde motion until 29th January. Venus will normally spend 24 days in your financial sector but by the time she leaves on 6th March, she will have been here for four months.

While Venus will be joined by Mars on 25th January and he too is here until 6th March, bringing the planet of money and the warrior planet of the cosmos together, Mercury is also reluctant to leave. Normally Mercury will move through in 14 to 15 days, giving you the smart head for money needed to keep your head in the game and to make smart financial choices, decisions and plans. Mercury begins the year in your financial sector but will retrograde back out on 2nd January, only to return to start over from 26th January to 15th February. By then Mars will be here and Venus will be just days away from turning direct. At the point in the year when money matters often go flat, this is when they are just starting to heat up.

Meanwhile, apart from a Full Moon on 18th January, there will be no planetary activity in your income sector until the dwarf planet Ceres’ return on 15th May. As Ceres is more focused on updating your income needs and priorities, this is more a chance to prepare for the most lucrative weeks of 2023, which will run from the Sun’s return to your financial sector on 21st June to Venus’ departure on 12th August. Held back by her retrograde phase earlier in the year Venus will return just as the Sun is about to leave, with her time here from 18th July to 12th August the most potentially lucrative point in that period. Held back by his own retrograde phase, Mars won’t return to your income sector until 2024.
